Rules

 1.     Teams will be devided into two groups according to seeding, the top two teams in each group will go into the Cup matches and the bottom two teams will play in the plate matches

2.     8-a-side for 1st round and Plate matches, 11-a-side for Cup Matches. Substitutes can not bat or bowl.

3.     Teams must name their squad before the match commences.

4.     14 overs per innings for 1st round and Plate Matches and 25 overs for Cup Matches. Hardball will be used in all matches.

5.     Max 4 overs per bowler in 1st round and Plate Matches and 6 overs for Cup Matches

6.     Bowling will be done from one end only.

7.     1 Run will be added to the total of batting side in case of a wide, the ball will have to be bowled again.

8.     In case of “No ball” 1 run shall be added to the total plus runs scored off the bat, the ball will have to be bowled again.

9.     The Club Representative of the batting side will be responsible for arranging umpires, unless one is provided by HKCA

10.  The batting side will be responsible to keep score

11.  Scoresheets must be faxed to the newspapers and HKCA office by 6pm on the day of the match by the winning side.

12.  White clothing or uniformed colored clothing must be worn by players on the field, black shoes, black jeans and any other clothing is not permitted

13.  Teams must bring their own equipment.

14.  Batsman are required to wear Helmets while batting.
