Junior League Rules 2009-10

1. General
Except as specified in the Junior League rules below and Junior League playing conditions, the Laws of Cricket (2000 Code 2nd Edition-2003) shall apply.

2. Fixtures

The scheduled fixture and normal starting time will be printed on our HKCA crick-kid web site or circulated by HKCA office during the season.

3. Grounds Weather and Light

After being handed over the ground by the Ground’s Authority, the umpires appointed by HKCA shall be sole judges of the fitness of the ground, weather and light for play.

4. Disputes

The umpires appointed by HKCA shall determine all disputes during a match; if they disagree the existing state of affairs shall continue. Teams can lodge a written complaint to HKCA within 3 days of the dispute. A ruling will be given by the HKCA. Appeal can be made to the Junior League Committee (JLC). Rulings given by the JLC on any disputes brought before them shall be final.

5. Registrations and Eligibility

Prior to the start of the league season, each team is require to register a minimum of 11 players and pay the requisite individual membership and team fees. The names, address and HKID/Passport Copy of the player to be registered must be submitted at this time. In sense of not paying team registration fees or not registering players, consideration will be given to removing the team from League. Any matches played prior to payment of the membership fee may be declared null and avoid. The HKCA may award full points to the non-offending team. Overage player will not be allowed to play. Playing a non-registered (underage) player may result in deduction of league points. This will be decided by the HKCA .All players must registered with HKCA prior to play in any junior league matches,.

6. Transfer of players

All players shall not, without the prior permission of the HKCA, play for more then one team in the same competition. Application for transfer must be submitted in writing to the HKCA at least 72 hours before the transfer is required to take effect. Player can’t be transfer after playing two matches with current team. Please send your request to Tabarak Dar at dar@crick-kid.com.

7. Match Balls

Match balls will be provided by HKCA.

8. Match Score-sheets
A Score-Sheet for each match shall be submitted to HKCA office by the winning team Coach or Representative and, in the event of a Tie or No Results, both teams Coach or Representative. These Score-Sheets are to be faxed to the HKCA office (25778486) or to be mailed to dar@crick-kid.com no later than noon on the first working day after the match.
The full name of all players taking part in a match must be entered on the score-sheets. Failure to follow these procedures, including submission of incomplete score-sheets or late submission of the score-sheets will be results in the deduction of the league points by HKCA.

9. Points System

U11
Walkover: 25 points
Win:10 points +batting & bowling points
Loss:Batting & Bowling points only
Tie:8 points + batting & bowling points
No Result:15 point each.

Batting & Bowling points:

Batting: Every 10 runs scored one (1) point Maximum 8 points, i.e. one batting point for reaching each 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80 runs,
Bowling: One (1) point for each wicket, & Maximum 7 points

U13,U15,U17
Walkover: 20 points
Win:10 points +batting & bowling points
Loss:Batting & Bowling points only
Tie:5 points + batting & bowling points
No Result:10 point each.

Batting & Bowling points:

Batting: One (1) batting point for reaching each 70, 90, 120, 140, 160 maximum 5 points (if batting Second, 5 bonds points based on a rate of 5.33 per over or higher, 4 bonus points based on rate of 4.66 per over or better, 3 bonus points based on a rate 4.00 per over, 2 bonus points based on rate 3.00 per over, 1 bonus points based on 2.33 per over. 0 points if they pass the total slower than this.
Bowling: One (1) point for 2,4,6,8 and 10 wickets & Maximum 5 points

10. Uniform

White cricket clothing or coloured team uniforms must be worn by players on the field at all time. Black shoes, jeans or any other inappropriate attire is not permitted. Umpires can ask the players to leave the field if they are wearing inappropriate attire.

11. Equipments

Teams must bring their own equipments. Helmets are compulsory to wear at all age group matches. Wooden cricket bats are compulsory to use at U11 League matches.

12. Age Eligibility.

U-11:All those born on or after 1st January 1998
U-13:All those born on or after 1st January 1996
U-15:All those born on or after 1st January 1994
U-17:All those born on or after 1st January 1992
U-19:All those born on or after 1st January 1990
